Full details of the house investigation can be found

I'm gonna try and get the photographs up today but I'm still on a quest for a book from the Suffolk Records Office, so I guess, I will be down there all day.

Been away so long!

  • Mood:
  • Music: Creep(Radiohead Cover) by InMe

I haven't posted in ages, my computer died (again!) and I lost everything, luckily I'd backed up all our casefiles, photographs and writing but still lost over 20 GB of music and movies  I fixed my computer and then my service provider decided to do 'maintainance'....They came back n I was thinking 'YAY'.....I was online for a whole night and my darling puppy chewed throuhg my modem cable....To me, that sounds a poor excuse, but its true...HONEST!

So much has happened, I don't know where to start.... We have been on 2  investigations, I really want to try and get the details up on the site but I'm waiting for permission to do so.

It was a house visit, the usual stuff happened, a few thuds, orb pictures, unusual EMF readings, ya know....What I found odd was the fluctuation in temperate. Below are some details taken from my notes....Any theories etc. would be good because I hadn't seen this before.

19:25

The temperature was 16.0 °C at the top of the stairs and 15.1 °C in the study

19:45

Temperature

Study 15.0 °C

Hall 16.6 °C

20:30

Temperature

Study 15.0 °C

Hall 17.0 °C

20:32

Temperature

Study unchanged

*Hall 17.4  °C

20:35

Temperature

Study unchanged

*Hall 17.9 °C

20:40

Temperature

Study unchanged

Hall 19.1 °C

*this steady rise in temperature could be attributed to our body heat as there was two to three of us in this area, although there were two of us in a smaller area (the study, with the door closed for a longer period of time) and the temperature only changed from 15.0 ° to 15.1 °C

21:00

Temperature

Study 15.1 °C

Hall 17.1 °C

21.18

No change (At this point I changed thermometers, thinking that maybe the one I was using was dodgy)

21.40

Temperature

Study unchanged

Hall 17.0 °C

22:35

Temperature

Study 15.0 °C

Hall 16.4 °C

23:05

Hall 15.1 °C

23:45

Richard checked his video camera in the spare bedroom, when he came downstairs he reported a ‘strange’ feeling at the top of the stairs.

Stepping out into the hall there was a noticeable drop in temperature (everywhere, more than a cold spot) but the thermometer was showing 17.1 °C in the hall (unchanged in study)

23:55 Very quiet, Feeling gone.

EMF normal

Temperature unchanged.

00.30

Temperature unchanged.

00:45

Temperature in the hall had dropped to 11.0 °C

The drive home was long and Peter reviewed some of his video footage, there were normal moving orbs and some flashing ones. When we got home Richard checked through his, nothing visual was captured but there is an obvious knocking at the door. It happens on every video tape. There are a few other unfamiliar noises, which he is still checking out.

Since the investigation I have researched the area until my head hurt  and have found some pretty interesting facts about the area.

I'm looking forward to going back!

I'm nervous!

  • Mood: Nervous as hell!!
  • Music: Just a Day by Feeder

Today I have to go with Richard on a preliminary visit and I am SOOO Nervous! It's horrible!

It's my first time being involved in the actual planning of an investigation. Normally Richard and Peter sort it all out and I just go along, but today will mean actually talking to 'the living' HOW SCARY!!!

It doesn't help that my hands are bright purple! I dyed my hair (without gloves!...How clever!)

So not only am I worried incase I will say something stupid when I get there, I don't know what to wear to make the right impression and I got purple hands.....Better go find the bleach and scrub brush!!!

My computers horrible!

  • Mood: Happier but still moaning

Haha

They took our investigations down and linked to us.

I have had no time this week to do anything...I have about 2 million true stories to upload and my computer is still wappy and sooooo slow, even after restoring it still sucks!

Aaarrggghhhh!!!!

  • Mood: In the mood for a rant!
  • Music: Going Under by Evanesence

I'm not very happy!
Why is there so much animosity and competition with some paranomal groups?

Its just plain stupid!

Some are really nice but others.....Well!

I first noticed then when I was looking to get into a group and found that some were really unhelpful and wouldn't advise or accept anyone who didn't think the same way as them.

Luckily, Suffolk Paranormal welcomed me and there are some really great groups out there...See our links page, I only add cool groups

A while ago I emailed a group and asked if they wanted to exchange links, I got an email back saying only 'No'

That's fair enough,  but I've just been browsing and found their site with two of OUR investigations listed as theirs!!

Why it annoys me so much is the fact that Richard and Peter have been involved in both the investigatiosn for YEARS and have worked bloody hard to get to where we are now....

Surely if you're a paranormal group and another group has an ongoing investigation that you are interested in, then you would ask them to see if you could get involved and do it together.

White Noise/EVP

My first experience of EVP was when I was about 10 years old and a close family friend was having problems after playing around with an Ouija board,

My father, an amateur ghost hunter, left a tape recorder running in the empty house and caught an unmistakable male voice saying 'Alfred' there was also crying in the background.

From then on I spent many of hours with my father, listening back on recordings from supposed haunted places and heard many unexplained voices, some seemed to correspond with the questions asked by the person making the recording.

There are many ways of recording EVP, originally, we would record the 'white noise' from between radio stations. This was very successful, but as we didn't have the technology 22 years ago as we do now, it was hard to rule out that we weren't actually recording radio stations etc.

Since then I have tried many different ways of recording EVP.

Several times on our investigations, we have captured, what could be described as EVP and many other human sounds such as coughing, whispering and sneezing from inside locked rooms and buildings.

Our last investigation was in an old Suffolk Church and we captured a woman's voice humming a tune, as there were only four of us present and no external noise we found this most unusual.

We are definately capturing something...As to whether they are the voices of the dead...Who knows?

I know...I know....I'm crap!

I didn't manage to keep the journal updated but I've had serious computer problems and lack of time..

My computer died, just as we had three really important investigations coming up! How Typical!!!

Its great to be back online, I feel like I've been away for days..I've managed to upload the Video Clips and new photographs on to the site but the true stories are just piling up....I'll get there in the end...I hope

Interesting!

I've always had periods of strange activity in my house,

It had stopped for a bit but now I think its starting again. We are all used to it and fed up of trying to rationalise it, so we just accept it as 'one of those things'

Firstly we get electrical disturbances, TV turning off and on and channel changing, a rapping on my front door, things missing only to return again in strange places....just to mention a few. It's not there all the time, it comes and goes, all or nothing.

We have all checked out the 'normal' reasons for this happening and nothing can be found.

Just because I hunt ghost's it doesn't mean I'm convinced of their existance. I try to keep open minded and consider all options before assuming its 'paranormal'

I have seen and heard a lot of things that I can not explain and I guess its this that drives me to find the cause.

230 pictures didn't show anything during a period of activity
